Ticket purchase:

Tickets can be purchased through travel agencies operating at the Port of Durrës or through other travel agencies that provide services for travel to Italy.

To travel to and from Italy, passengers must have:

  • a passport
  • a travel ticket

Specific cases:

  • Travel for medical reasons:
    A passport, travel ticket, and a medical recommendation issued by the respective doctor are required.
  • Travel for employment purposes:
    A passport, travel ticket, and an employment contract issued by the employer are required.
  • Transit travel through Italy to other countries:
    Passengers must present a passport, travel ticket, and a transit ticket, which must be presented to the Italian authorities.

Daily pedestrian port access permit

  • Identification document (ID card or passport)
  • Application is completed at Gate No. 2 and Gate No. 3
  • Fee: ALL 60

Daily port access permit with vehicle

  • Identification document and driving licence
  • Application is completed at Gate No. 2 and Gate No. 4
  • Fee: ALL 240

Annual port access permit (personal and vehicle)

Citizens and port operators must apply at the Port Permits Office, at the General Directorate of the Durrës Port Authority, and submit the required documentation in accordance with the instructions provided.

  • Annual personal permit: ALL 8,520
  • Annual vehicle permit: ALL 8,520

To apply for a job position, you must report to the Resources Office at the General Directorate of the Durrës Port Authority, where you may submit your CV.

To transport a vehicle from abroad:

  • you must contact a freight forwarding agency, which will organise the container transport and provide guidance on procedures;
  • upon arrival at the Port of Durrës, you must contact one of the customs agencies operating in the port, which will handle the processing and customs clearance procedures.

Citizens and port operators who wish to transport goods by container must contact one of the shipping agencies operating at the Port of Durrës.

Contractors operating at the Port of Durrës are required to:

  • be familiar with and comply with technical safety regulations;
  • follow and implement port safety signage;
  • comply with the applicable construction regulations within the port area.
