Durres Port is the primary market entry gate of Albania. Being the largest port of the country accessing the Adriatic Sea it becomes an advantageous alternative for neighbor landlocked countries such as Kosovo and Macedonia exploiting Durres Port logistics and maritime services. Albania’s key geographical position controlling the direct route network bridging south-western and south-eastern Europe makes Durres Port a major multimodal node to the main industrial centers of the country and the region in general. The new Durres-Kukes-Prishtine A1 highway commonly referred to as “Rruga e Kombit-the Nation’s Road”, one of the greatest engineering works of the country has generated significant communication facilities between Albania and Kosovo.
