About 2.4 million tons of various goods were discharged / loaded at the port of Durres during January-July of this year.
The figure is 13 percent higher than the volume of goods processed in the same period last year, according to the Statistics Division of the APD.
During the first 7 months of this year, ships and ferries transported to Durres 273 thousand tons more than in January-July 2018.
Only 1,851 thousand tons of cargo were discharged / loaded by merchant vessels, an increase of 15 percent compared to January-July last year, while ferries transported 547 thousand tons, or 5 percent more.
