The Durres Port Authority hosted in its premises the participants of the National Meeting of Public Institutions and Private Firms, which have as their object the protection of the marine environment from pollution and the management of facilities for the removal of waste from the vessels.
“This meeting is an added value in the daily activity of the largest port of the country, told to the participants deputy director of APD, Mr. Petrit Çerçizzi during his greeting.
Bledar Karoli, representative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, after appreciating the importance of the meeting, spoke of the steps taken in the recent years to improve the legal basis in support of the prevention and protection of marine pollution. At the meeting were brought experiences from representatives of various institutions operating in the port area of Durres. A general presentation of Durres Port Authority was held during the meeting from specialist of promotion sector in DPA.
Mrs. Josephine Sturiale, a member of the Regional Center Consultancy Group, disccussed with the participants and was interested in the concrete activity and implementation of maritime legislation in this field.
