327 thousand tons of cargo, have been processed in august, in Durrës port, an increase of 28% compared to the same period last year.
According to statistics published, overestimates of August have affected the results of the 8 – month period, January to August, which for the first time this year are higher than the same period of 2011.
According to the same sources, since the beginning of this year, in the
country largest port, are processed 2 million 330 thousand tons
of cargo, or 27 thousand tons more than the 8 – month period of last year. Statistics show also that processing
figures in export have increased by about 879 thousand tons of cargo,
whereas in imports recorded figures amount to about 1 million 452 thousand tons.
Sources specify that during August 2012 have been processed 72 thousand tons of cargo more than August 2011, marking an increase of 64% in export and 10% in import.
