DPA: January – March 2019, approximately 1 million tons of cargo are processed in the Durres Port. Approximately 8 % more goods than in the first quarter of 2018. April 18th, 2019

During January – March of the year 2019, 966,491 tons of import and export goods were processed in the quays of Durres Port.

According to official statistics of the Durres Port Authority, during the first quarter of this year, from ships and ferries anchored in port, were processed 8 % more goods than in the same period of 2018.

Referring to Durres Port Statistics – during January – March 2019

• 152 commercial vessels anchored
• Processed over 745 thousand tons of goods, 11 % more than in the first January – March 2018.

While from ferry processing of approximately 222 thousand tons of goods is recorded an increase of 1 % total.

During the first three months of this year, the largest increase in commodity processing was recorded during March, when 394 thousand tons of goods were loaded and unloaded from commercial vessels, or 42 % more than in March 2018.
