The Durres Port Authority hosted today a representative group from the Polish Chamber of Commerce and members from the Polish-Albanian Parliamentary Group. The meeting organized by the Durrës Chamber of Commerce with the support of DPA took place at the Training Hall , in the presence of a group of businessmen from Durres.
The attendees were greeted by Mrs. Sonila Toska, Executive Director of DPA, who presented the recent port developments, expresing the satisfaction for growing contacts with foreign business, especially from Poland.
Then the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Durres, Andrea Xhavara welcomed the four-day Polish business mission, which after Tirana, stopped in Durres presenting the topic “Albania – Durrës, an excellent business choice”.
Mr. Andrzej Arendarski, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Poland, said that in three days they have met mainly representatives of Albanian institutions and businesses in Tirana, which opens new perspectives for contacts and cooperation in the economic field as well.
The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group Poland – Albania expressed the desire to increase the relations between the entrepreneurs from both countries, taking as an example positive developments in the field of tourism and increasing the number of tourists from Poland to the Albanian coast. Later the responsibility of the Promotion Sector at DPA, Arben Xhemali, presented the current performance situation in the largest port of our country. The 3- hour stay of the group of over 20 representatives of the Polish Parliament and business in the port of Durres ended with the visit to the squares and the quays of the Western Terminal as well as at the Ferry Terminal.
