According to the DPA Statistics Department, during May 2020, 23 cargo ships with over 80 thousand tons of freights were handled at the Durres Port General Cargo Terminal also known as the Western Terminal.
As reported by the aforementioned source, a gradual increase in freight processing volumes is noticed at the Western Terminal, comparable to the previous months.
The largest amount of processed goods during this month was accounted at 9,976 tons consisting of metal sheets carried by the merchant ship” Sofiya”, which were subsequently transited to Kosovo.
Last month, four cement ships, eight tin and iron ships as well as four ships carrying agricultural fertilizers were processed at the Western Terminal which is latterly administered by the DPA.
Since the beginning of 2020, a total of 114 merchant vessels have been handled at the Durres Port General Cargo Terminal.
