Approximately 200 thousand passengers in the period January to May 2019 preferred to sail on the ferries of Durres – Bari and Durres – Ancona return.
More than 50,000 of them are foreign travelers. According to statistical data of the respective Sector in APD, the figure marks an increase of 1% compared to the same period of the 5th month of 2018.
Meanwhile, the volume of cargo transported with truck and trailers is increased by 3%, reaching a five-month figure of approximately 379,000 tons.
Approximately 32 thousand trucks and trailers with import and export goods have used ferries during the first 5 months of this year.
Statistics show that over 112,000 passengers have used ferries to sail to Italy’s Ports, while about 88,000 have sailed from the Apennine Peninsula to Durres Port. Meanwhile, the number of outgoing passenger cars, about 1,900 units is higher, than the one registered at the entrance to ferries to Durres
